WHAT ARE THE INVICTUS GAMES?
Inspired by seeing his injured comrades-in-arms upon his return from deployment in Afghanistan, Prince Harry went on to create the International Invictus Games.
This inspiring multi-sport event serves as a platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by wounded, injured, or ill veterans and soldiers, offering them opportunities for recognition, rehabilitation, and a renewed sense of purpose through athletic competition. In 2023, we
were honored to partner with the organizing body to provide comprehensive accreditation and access control services for this significant event in Germany.
Our expertise ensured a smooth and secure experience for participants, officials, and spectators alike, contributing to the overall success of the event while supporting the important mission of honoring and empowering these brave individuals.
THE CHALLENGE
Last minute changes in requirements.
Operational challenges due to weather conditions.
Equipment failure due to weather conditions, F&B management for
staff and technical issues.
THE SOLUTION
Delivered a full turn-key solution system, including customized sports entry registration software for athletes, badge printing, and technical support for the accreditation manager.
Used the F&B module to ensure all staff received their allotted meals in the catering areas and maintained efficient onsite operations across three accreditation centers despite unexpected weather conditions.
Badge printing and distribution were handled upon guest arrival, and spare equipment was used to replace damaged units, enabling uninterrupted operations and accrediting over 17,000 vendors, employees, and guests for the event.
The client was able to collect data quickly and accurately and export reports to disseminate the information (including hotel reservations, sports entries, and more).
The event complied with the high-quality standards that were required
by the German Government. The Invictus Games, Düsseldorf 2024 edition was a massive success and the client was very happy. Meanwhile our team learned a lot through all the challenges and truly enjoyed working on the project.
