WHAT ARE THE AFRICAN GAMES?

The African Games, a prestigious continental multi-sport event held every four years, brings together elite athletes from across the African
continent to compete in a wide array of sports disciplines.
As one of the largest sporting events in Africa, it showcases not only athletic excellence but also the rich cultural diversity and unity of the region. In 2024, this highly anticipated event took place in Ghana, and we were privileged to manage the accreditation process for participants, officials, and media personnel.
Our team ensured seamless access control and streamlined accreditation procedures, contributing to the overall success and security of the Games.
THE CHALLENGE
The timeline was delayed as we were only onboarded 1 month before
There was no clear ownership of the accreditation process, no understanding
Locations of the sporting events kept changing and were not confirmed until last minute.

Thanks to our easy-to-use interface, we set up over 250 scanning devices in just hours, ensuring quick implementation.
Our smart vetting system securely approved everyone before their badges were issued, maintaining high security standards.
Despite numerous changes to the access matrix, the system handled all requests seamlessly without issues.
Venue walkthroughs with the client helped establish checkpoints and access points, ensuring smooth operations.
A quick local solution addressed damaged paper issues, demonstrating adaptability to changing requirements.

THE LEGACY
With all the ups and downs, we have fond, long-lasting memories of a successful event. We learnt that even with considerable experience, you will always face new challenges and have to adapt and create solutions to deal with them.
Most importantly, our client was pleased and was praised by the IOC for their delivery.
